What is the difference between restoration and repair when referring to binding?

Repair can mean a number of things, but is commonly used to fix some time of damage.  Restoration is simply an attempt to restore a book to it's original condition.

Are my books worth fixing?

It depends.  If you are an educational institution, rebinding is much more economical than purchasing new text books.  However, when you do select rebinding, make sure that you are opting for a binding company that is going to ensure durability.  You don't won't to have books fixed and them have them back in the shop the very next year.  For libraries, rebinding is necessary if they want to preserve their treasure of reading materials for patrons in the years to come.  Personal binding, well, it depends on the sentimental value of the book being rebound.  The most popular restoration, repair and rebinding items from personal libraries is most often the family Bible.

How much does it cost to bind a book.

That depends on what is being done to the book.  The best way to get the most accurate cost is to call us and we will give you a detailed quote.
